The K-State Athletics Priority Point system was created to more equitably serve Ahearn Fund members. Priority Point rank helps determine season ticket placement and the distribution of tickets to high-demand events such as bowl games, Big 12 Championships and NCAA Tournaments. Additionally, Priority Point ranking is used for parking and seating upgrades for season tickets and other special events.

Priority Points are rewarded as follows:

3 Points per $100 of gifts to the Ahearn Fund (GIK included)
and Capital Project gifts since 2010
Annual gifts include Ahearn, Ahearn-Football, Ahearn-Men's Basketball

2 Points per $100 of gifts to the Ahearn Fund from 2000-2009

2 Points per $100 of restricted gifts to the Ahearn Fund
Restricted gifts include Golden Cats, Diamond Cats, Legends Membership

1 Point per season ticket
Football, Volleyball, Men’s & Women’s Basketball, Baseball

*Point totals reset to zero if an account becomes inactive. Accounts become inactive if a gift is not recieved and season tickets are not renewed for one fiscal year. Ahearn Fund fiscal year runs from July 1-June 30.

Calculate Your Points!

The Ahearn Fund Point Calculator allows members and supporters to easily calculate their point totals and rankings and gauge their current standing or potential increases. The calculator is based on three options:

  • What would my points, rank, and lifetime giving be if I donated a certain amount?
  • How much do I need to donate to reach a certain ranking?
  • How much do I need to donate to have a certain number of points?

Ahearn Fund points are used to determine priority order for season ticket and postseason ticket seat locations.
Below are step-by-step instructions to utilize this new feature.

Example of Priority Points in Action

2012 AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic

During the tremendous 2011 football season, members of the Ahearn Fund were able to request tickets to specific bowl games where the Wildcats could have potentially played.

Once the Cotton Bowl committee selected the team to play in the 76th AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic at Cowboys Stadium, the Ahearn Fund and ticket office staff cooperatively contacted those individuals who had requested tickets.

Because K-State was only allotted 12,500 tickets for the game, members who had amassed the highest amount of Priority Points as of November 15, 2011 were the first to receive tickets. Additionally, higher ranked members were assigned tickets in the premium seat locations of Cowboys Stadium.

Of the members that requested tickets to the Cotton Bowl, those with more than 931 Priority Points were seated in club seats of the stadium. Ahearn Fund members with points ranging from 664-930 were seated in the 200-level (non-club seats) of the stadium, while members with points ranging from 250-663 were seated in the 300-level (non-club seats). All Ahearn Fund members who requested tickets prior to the November 15 deadline were seated in K-State's allotment. Any non-members who requested tickets after the deadline did not receive tickets through K-State's allotment.
