
Big 12 Conference play has arrived for our basketball teams and it is time to start thinking about postseason tickets. Enclosed you will find ticket information and a preorder form for the Big 12 Basketball Championships in Kansas City, as well as an application for NCAA men's basketball tournament tickets. Please read carefully the details below and submit your applications by the appropriate deadline.
The Big 12 Championships will be hosted at the Sprint Center in Kansas City from March 7 to March 10. All-session tickets are priced at:
The Big 12 ticket application provides an opportunity for Ahearn Fund members and men's basketball season ticket holders to submit a request for those tickets. Orders will be seated according to the following priority limits: six (6) each for Ahearn Fund members at the National Leadership Circle Gold level, four (4) each for members at the NLC-Silver and Bronze levels, and two (2) each for all other donor levels and season ticket holders.
Tickets ordered beyond these limits will be seated separately from the initial assignment and after all other priority point orders are filled. Ticket orders will be processed after the February 10 deadline and seated by overall Priority Points (ranking as of December 31, 2011).
Premium seating is limited; orders that cannot be filled in a higher price level will be automatically changed to the next available price level at time of seat assignment. Credit card payments will be charged only if your order can be filled and all tickets will be mailed via UPS.
The Big 12 Championships will be hosted at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City from March 7 to March 10. All-session tickets are priced at $90 each. Orders will be processed as received and seats will be assigned in order of Priority Points. Ticket information regarding possible further post-season play will be sent to Ahearn Fund members and women's basketball season ticket holders later this season.
The NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament will begin in Dayton, Ohio on March 13 and March 14* and end with the Final Four in New Orleans, Louisiana on March 31 and April 2. Ticket allotments available to participants are limited and will also vary by round and location.
The NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament ticket application provides an opportunity for Ahearn Fund members and men's basketball season ticket holders to request these tickets. Ticket orders for 1st, 2nd and 3rd rounds as well as the Final Four are limited to four (4) each for Ahearn Fund members at the National Leadership Circle Gold level and to two (2) each for all other Ahearn Fund members and season ticket holders. For Regional Rounds, NLC Gold members may request up to six (6) tickets, while other Ahearn Fund members and season ticket holders may request up to four tickets (4).
Tickets ordered beyond these limits will be seated separately from the initial assignment and after all other priority point orders are filled. Ticket orders will be seated by overall Priority Points (ranking as of December 31, 2011) after the pairing announcement on March 11 and as K-State progresses through the tournament.
Credit card payments will be charged only if K-State plays in a location you selected and if your order can be filled. Tickets will be held for will call pick-up. In the event the K-State Athletic Ticket Office cannot fill your order because of demand, you will be notified as quickly as possible.
* Please note that the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament format has changed to accommodate additional teams. The 1st round in Dayton, Ohio will include eight teams - the last four 'at-large' qualifiers and the last four 'automatic-bid' qualifiers.
